Connections between people, places, and cultural heritage are at the centre of Firenze Forma Continua, an impromptu project that emerged during the 2017 UNESCO/ICOMOS advisory mission in Florence.
The initiative, developed by Firenze Patrimonio dell’Umanità and the City of Florence UNESCO office in collaboration with HeRe_Lab and the University of Florence Department of Architecture, aims to promote knowledge about the historical development of the city and its surroundings.
The project encourages students, young researchers, and other members of the community to take an active role in safeguarding local cultural heritage. MARE, together with fund4art, designed the methodology for this project to involve local citizens and also structured the direction of a documentary connecting the project with citizens’ memories.
